Situated on Australia’s beautiful East Coast, in a relaxed coastal setting, our two locations offer 12 consulting rooms and 3 treatment rooms. Our experienced and dedicated team of GPs, nurses, and reception staff work collaboratively to deliver high-quality healthcare in a warm, welcoming environment. The Opportunity We are looking for a Casual Medical Receptionist to join our Lennox Head and Epiq Medical Centre to be a key team member working collaboratively within the practice, providing high quality customer service to all patients. This role will see you managing a busy front desk reception, welcoming patients to the practice, supporting health care professionals as well as general administration duties. What’s in It for You

- Greeting patients and checking them in and out professionally
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
- Maintaining patient records while ensuring confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Handling billing tasks , such as collecting co-payments and processing invoices
- Coordinating with doctors, nurses, and medical staff
- Managing referrals and authorizations
- Handling medical correspondence (emails, faxes, test results)
- Keeping the reception and waiting area organised and calm
- Working within a team environment Our Ideal Candidate To excel in this role, you'll possess:
- Exceptional customer service skills with previous customer service experience an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills including a professional & personable telephone manner.
- Detail-orientated.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Knowledge of Pracsoft/Medtech is an advantage.
- Ability to work as part of a multifaceted team and independently.
- Neat and professional presentation.
