Medical Receptionist (Ballina Shire)

About the role Lumus Imaging has an opportunity for a patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Ballina clinic on a permanent, part-time basis, 2-3 days per week. 7.5 hours per day business days. This is a front-of-house role within a busy diagnostic imaging environment, offering stable weekday hours and the chance to be part of a supportive healthcare team. Based at Lumus Imaging in Ballina, NSW, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in delivering a positive patient experience. Comprehensive training will be provided, making this role suitable for candidates with or without prior healthcare experience. Key responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and providing a professional and compassionate first impression
- Managing patient bookings, referrals, and enquiries (in person and via phone)
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient records
- Processing Medicare, billing, and payment transactions
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic About you
- Experience in a healthcare or medical reception role is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Confidence using computers and administrative systems
- A team-focused attitude with a genuine commitment to patient care
- Full-time role with consistent Monday to Friday hours
