Electrical Engineer (Ballina)

Position: Electrical Engineer Department: Electrical Engineering (Engineering) Salary: $100,000 per year plus superannuation Hours: 40 hours per week Mode: Full Time Location: Ballina NSW & remote project locations Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience About Us Stralis Energy is an Australian owned and operated company specialising in electrical contracting, electrical distribution (overhead and underground), renewable energy infrastructure and electrical engineering services. With our head office based in Ballina NSW, Stralis Energy delivers projects across regional and remote locations throughout Australia. We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. This role will initially be based at Maryvale Solar Farm, located between Dubbo and Wellington NSW, and will require relocation and ongoing travel to remote project sites as required. This exciting opportunity is available for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and review electrical systems associated with utility-scale solar farm infrastructure.
- Review and interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and engineering documentation to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, fault-finding and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct engineering calculations and technical assessments relating to electrical installations and renewable energy systems.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with AS/NZS standards, project specifications and quality requirements.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, inspection records and commissioning documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, subcontractors and clients regarding engineering and technical matters.
- Support the preparation and review of inspection test plans (ITPs), quality assurance documentation and project compliance records.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving electrical engineering and installation issues on site.
- Support procurement activities through technical review and selection of electrical equipment and materials.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and electrical engineering standards. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Bachelor Degree or Masters in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and electrical engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems and electrical infrastructure.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and engineering software.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Full unrestricted working rights in Australia.
- Willingness to relocate and work at regional and remote project sites as required.
