Consulting Arborist (Surrey Hills)

The Tree Company Arboricultural Services Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and passionate Consulting Arborist to join our team. We have depots in Surrey Hills, Preston & Flemington. This role could be based at any of these locations with flexibility to work from home as well. As a Consulting Arborist, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert advice and guidance on the care and maintenance of trees to our diverse client base. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within the Arb industry and help The Tree Company grow its consulting arm of the business. What you'll be doing 1. Conduct thorough assessments of trees, including their health, structural integrity, and potential risks 2. Develop comprehensive management plans to ensure the long-term viability and safety of client's trees 3. Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on the best course of action for tree care, pruning, or removal 4. Prepare detailed reports and proposals to support client decision-making 5. Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate tree management activities 6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices in arboriculture 7. Mentor and train junior arborists within the team What we're looking for 1. Diploma Qualified Arborist 2. 3 years of experience as a Consulting Arborist or in a similar role (preferred) 3. Demonstrated expertise in tree assessment, risk management, and development of treatment plans 4. Excellent communication and report-writing skills to effectively present technical information to clients 5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to provide practical, cost-effective solutions 6. Proficiency in the use of industry-standard tools and software for tree assessment and data management 7. Commitment to continuing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices 8. A valid driver's licence and the ability to travel to client sites as required What we offer
