Disability Support Worker | Balwyn VIC Part time / Casual Opportunity $37.60 per hour We are seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to support a friendly and active young adult in Balwyn. About the Client You will be supporting a 27-year-old male living with cerebral palsy and an intellectual disability. He is highly social and enjoys a wide range of activities, including:
- Swimming, bike riding, and going to the beach
- Gymnastics and hockey
- Watching AFL (especially the Western Bulldogs!) This role is perfect for someone energetic who enjoys community engagement and building meaningful connections. Key Responsibilities
- Support morning routine (wake-up, personal care, dressing, hygiene)
- Prepare breakfast and assist with daily organisation
- Pack belongings and support readiness for the day
- Drive client to and from prevocational placement
- Afternoon shift includes:
- Pick-up and transport home
- Meal preparation for the week
- Household organisation and planning support Shifts Available
- Morning shifts (choose one option): Monday & Friday OR Wednesday & Friday – 7:00am to 9:00am
- Afternoon shift: Monday 3:00pm to 6:00pm About You
- Previous disability support experience (essential)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (essential)
- Strong communication skills and good English comprehension
- Organised, proactive, and dependable
- Ideally within a reasonable distance to Balwyn
- Aged approximately 25–44 years preferred to align with client interests What We Offer
