The opportunity We are seeking a professional, friendly and highly organised Legal Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in creating a positive and welcoming experience while supporting the day-to-day operations of the firm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and thrives in a professional environment. Your responsibilities will include
- Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls
- Managing client intake via emails and online enquiries
- Managing appointment bookings and lawyer calendars
- Preparing meeting rooms and refreshments for client appointments
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and deliveries
- Opening new client files and maintaining accurate records
- Scanning, filing and electronic document management
- Assisting with general administrative and office support duties
- Maintaining the presentation of reception and client facing meeting areas
- Providing administrative support to lawyers and support staff as required About you To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a receptionist, administration or customer service role (legal experience is advantageous but not essential)
- Present professionally and communicate confidently with clients and colleagues
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Solid organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Strong computer skills and an ability to learn internal legal document management systems
- Experience in a legal environment will be highly regarded but is not essential What we offer
