Accountant (Bankstown)

Top Logistics Australia (TLA) is a full-service logistics provider headquartered in Sydney with a very strong presence in Australia. TLA has bonded/AQIS in Sydney Melbourne and Brisbane with space over 15000m^2 and annual turnover over $10m. With the growth of our business, we are looking for a committed, hardworking, experienced accountant, who keeps learning/self-development and has a "can-do" attitude to join our team. Your duties will involve:
- Performing and monitoring all month-end closing activities within deadlines;
- Preparing monthly financial reports and statutory reporting to governance bodies; ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the information and compliance with statutory requirements;
- Preparing and lodging BAS, Payroll Tax and Income Tax; providing tax advice on reporting, business operation and planning;
- Conducting operating costs and income analysis, preparing and presenting management accounting reports for the management;
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to provide insightful opinions on matters including cost savings and revenue generation;
- Liaising with external stakeholders on behalf of the company and financial team with demonstration of robust relation management skills;
- Maintaining effective internal controls, implementing internal system and control process, advising on matters including auditing;
- Maintaining current accounting systems; Continually developing capacity and capability to select and improve current accounting and operation systems;
- Assisting in formulating budget and maintaining financial budgets adhering to best practice, policies and legislation;
- Monitoring and appraising cash flow, ensuring its smooth and healthy going-on;
- Preparing and reviewing reconciliations, ensuring outstanding issues are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. Degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor and above); A least 2 years post-graduate experience in an accounting role; CPA qualification or at least half-way completion; Demonstrated experience in processing and analysing large volume data is highly desirable; Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills is a must.
