Compensation and Working Hours
- $33 to $39/hr (depending on experience) + super + tax benefits + School Holiday pay!
- Working 5 days per week, 8am
- 4pm.
- Working with preschool aged children during school terms. About the Prospect Earlwood Uniting Church Preschool is a community based not for profit preschool offering high quality educational programs for children 3-5 years for over 73 years. Uniting Early Learning and a Volunteer Management Board share governance and management of the preschool. It is a three‑unit classroom exceeding National Quality Standards. What You’ll Be Doing As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
- Contribute to the development of programs reflecting the approved learning framework.
- Develop positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and the community.
- Facilitate play‑based learning environments responsive to children’s interests, strengths, and abilities.
- Document children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes. Who We’re Looking For
- 2-3 years experience Diploma in Early Childhood Education (essential), with previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
- A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
- Current First Aid in an Education and Care Setting, CPR.
- Child Protection certificate (CHCPRT025).
- Completion of mandatory national child protection training (GECCKO).
