About the Role We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Officer to join a government organisation based in Bankstown. This is an exciting 5-month contract opportunity offering $61.23 per hour + super. In this role, you will partner closely with hiring managers, stakeholders, and HR Business Partners to deliver high-quality recruitment and onboarding solutions across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment workflows within the HRIS platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely progression of recruitment activities.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to deliver a seamless and positive recruitment experience.
- Draft and publish engaging job advertisements aligned with the organisation’s employer brand across relevant internal and external platforms.
- Coordinate mandatory background checks, including Police Checks and Working With Children Checks (WWCC), in line with legislative requirements.
- Manage pre-employment screening processes
- Prepare accurate employment contracts and letters of offer.
- Support onboarding activities to ensure new employees have a positive and smooth transition into the organisation.
- Assist in the delivery of youth-focused initiatives including
- Provide support and respond to contingent workforce enquiries in collaboration with the Managed Service Provider (MSP)
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity throughout all recruitment practices.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the Team Leader – Talent Management. Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end recruitment within a complex or fast-paced workplace.
- Experience using HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors or similar systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to deliver a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
- A commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equitable hiring practices.
