Here at CBCity The City of Canterbury Bankstown is one of the largest Council’s in NSW with the most culturally, socially and economically diverse communities in Sydney. We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents. The role Where: Clemton Park Outside of School Hours Care / Vacation Care and Bankstown Public School. Temporary Part Time position. As a Caregiver and Supervisor for primary school–aged children before and after school and during school holidays, you will create a vibrant, safe, and energetic environment where children can learn, play, and have fun. This hands-on role is all about encouraging movement, creativity, and exploration while ensuring every child feels supported, included, and excited to be there. You will build positive, trusting relationships with children and their families, helping each child feel confident, valued, and ready to enjoy their day. Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Actively supervising and engaging with children in a safe, fun, and nurturing environment
- Leading energetic play, games, and creative activities that promote learning, teamwork, and physical activity
- Encouraging participation, confidence, and positive behaviour through inclusive and supportive interactions
- Building robust, friendly relationships with children and families through open communication
- Following all safety, child protection, and organisational policies and procedures
- Promoting inclusivity, respect, and empowerment so every child feels welcome and involved
- Contributing to a child-safe culture that prioritises the wellbeing, safety, and happiness of every child For a full list of duties, click HERE to review the position description. You will have
- Working with Children Check.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis and current CPR.
- Experience in providing quality learning experience and environments for young people.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate positively and build trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and development.
- Availability for Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care hours The salary range for this opportunity starts at $66,379 (pro-rata) (Grade C, Step1) + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience. What’s on offer
