About the Role
The JBS Australia is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our busy Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Our conditions of employment are one of the best in the industry!
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducts tests of mechanical systems, collects and analyses data, and assembles and installs mechanical assemblies in support of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists.
Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and effective mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance
Engaging in fabrication, installation and repair of mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
Ensuring that all work is carried out to the Company and requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
Utilising fault-finding to troubleshoot and rectify problems
Qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician:
Previous experience in a quick-paced industrial manufacturing setting
Previous experience within the meat industry advantageous
Sound knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as a basic knowledge of electrics and welding skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated continuous improvement approach
Ability to support a broad variety of mechanical work
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to communicate at all levels
Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
Ability to work various shifts
Full Australian working rights
