About the role Would you like to contribute to creating fresh high-quality food in a fast-paced production environment? The role reports to the Innovation and Development Chef working Mondays to Fridays & some weekends, approximately 6 am to 6 pm (note the finish time may vary). What you'll do
- Follow the recipe/specification created by chefs
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. We will provide you training to set you up for success. Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a Cook role or similar
- Team player with valuable communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment
- Dedicated with strong work ethic & can do attitude
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure with pace and energy & meet deadlines
- Exceptional personal presentation & hygiene
