Medical Receptionist – Permanent Part-Time / Full-Time Location: Punchbowl, NSW Shifts: 3–5 days per week | Monday to Friday, with optional Sunday shifts We're looking for a warm, experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy general practice in Punchbowl. - A chance to make a genuine impact in your local community About the Role Reporting to the Practice Manager, you'll be the first point of contact for our patients. You'll keep the front desk running smoothly and ensure every patient feels welcomed and cared for. Your day-to-day will include:
- Greeting patients and medical reps with a friendly, professional manner
- Managing phone calls, appointment bookings, and patient flow
- Processing Medicare, DVA, and WorkCover billing and claims
- Collecting payments and reconciling accounts
- Supporting practice accreditation and community health initiatives
- Keeping the reception and waiting area clean and organised
- General admin duties including ordering medical and office supplies About You
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a medical receptionist in general practice
- Confident with Medicare billing and general practice procedures
- Experience with Best Practice or similar medical software
- Robust communication and customer service skills
- Calm under pressure, reliable, and punctual
