At The Y Bankstown City, no two days are the same. You’ll welcome a diverse community enjoying gymnastics programs, school holiday activities, community programs and events, all within a vibrant, family‑focused centre designed to connect people of all ages. From supporting parents and children through enrolments to helping members navigate programs and facilities, you’ll play a key role in creating a warm, inclusive experience at the front desk. Centre Opening Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 8:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00am – 2:00pm
- Sunday: 9:00am – 10:30am About the role Love helping people? Thrive in a busy, team‑based environment? As a Customer Service Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our members and visitors—creating positive experiences every day at the front desk and over the phone. What you’ll be doing
- Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone
- Respond to enquiries about programs, bookings and memberships
- Support front desk operations and daily centre activities
- Process POS transactions and handle cash accurately
- Respond to feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment What we’re looking for
- Friendly, approachable and customer‑focused attitude
- Experience in customer service, reception or administration
- Solid communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy, community‑focused environment
- Basic computer skills
- CPR / First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- NSW Working With Children Check
- Commitment to safeguarding children and young people, including compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends (as required) Why work with us
