**About the role**: You will be working towards the development of business strategies for key accounts in Townsville, Mackay and Cairns area. The role reports directly to the Sales Manager and require to travel to Mackay, Cairns, Mt Isa, and Tablelands.
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to maintain existing business and developing new business.
- Researching and identifying new prospects and sales opportunities.
- Developing and establishing key accounts within the customer base.
- Establishing senior level relationships with the customer types stated above to understand the business driving factors.
- Following a sales process to effectively qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
- Collaborating with both local and national teams to ensure that effective resources are allocated to opportunities.
- Travelling 1 week out of the month to various regional areas in Central & North QLD
**About you**:
- 5+ years sales experience within the Industrial Automation / Electrical sector
- Self-motivated, proactive and sales focused
- A collaborative team player
- A sound communicator, possessing robust written communication and presentation skills
- A sales professional with a strong sales process
- Experienced in developing and executing sales strategies to build a strong sales pipeline
- A consultative selling approach
- A strong ability in solution selling
