Laboratory Manager - Mobile Lab! (Brisbane Airport)

Exciting Chance for an experienced asbestos analyst or Laboratory Manager looking for their next move in the industry! Who is Asbestest? Asbestest is a newly established mobile asbestos laboratory, specialising in onsite asbestos sampling and analysis with same-day results across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and the Gold Coast. By bringing the laboratory directly to site, we help clients save valuable time while delivering fast, professional, and reliable asbestos testing services. The Role: We are looking for a motivated laboratory analyst seeking their next career move into management. Our Laboratory Manager will have experience with asbestos identification using PLM and will be ready to hit the ground running!
- Lead asbestos inspections, sample collection and analysis aligned with AS 4964, AS 5370 and ISO 17025
- Use tools like PLM, stereo microscopes & field sampling equipment
- Prepare documentation & reports to NATA-accredited standards (report templates provided)
- Stay current with asbestos-related regulations and drive compliance
- Communicate clearly with clients, builders, and civilians onsite
- Participate in internal training, team meetings, and contribute to growth
- Positively lead a team as we grow (we want you and your role to grow with us) Must-haves:
- Experience in asbestos identification with PLM
- Experience in a NATA-accredited laboratory with familiarity with ISO 17025, AS 5370 (previously AS 4964) or ISO 22262
- 3+ years of relevant field experience (asbestos-focused)
- Satisfactory results from external Proficiency Testing (specifically for asbestos ID in bulk building materials) within the last 2 years (PTA)
- Australian Driver’s License (must
