About the Role To translate custom designs into high-end cabinetry and joinery by interpreting shop drawings, detecting and correcting gaps or inconsistencies, and overseeing the custom pieces from when drawings hit the factory floor through to finishing ready for installation to succeed. Ensure each unit meets client expectations, the brand's quality benchmarks and scheduled delivery, working with factory teams and project management to deliver excellence. Candidates must have 3-5 years of cabinet making experience to be considered for this position. Key Responsibilities Compliance & Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant workshop workplace
- Follow and promote workplace safety protocols in line with WHS standards
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report hazards or defects immediately
- Adhere to company policies on PPE, lock-out/tag-out, and material handling Fabrication & Assembly
- Utilize woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components
- Apply finishes such as stains, paints and varnishes to enhance the appearance and durability of cabinetry
- Ensure all components are fabricated to precise measurements and quality standards Quality Control
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of custom joinery pieces
- Maintain documentation of quality checks and measurements
- Ensure all components comply with design tolerances and finish standards
- Take corrective actions to address production variances or quality issues Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development of lean manufacturing practices
- Assist in process improvement initiatives related to efficiency and waste reduction
- Participate in training programs and cross-skill development

- Proven experience as a Trade Qualified Cabinet Maker with a portfolio of completed projects
- A trade qualification is preferred for this position
- Experienced and understanding of build techniques to deliver high-end custom & detailed joinery
- Essential cabinet making skills include hand tool proficiency, CNC operation, edge banding, hardware installation, timber joinery, and finishing techniques
- Proficiency in woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes and hardware used in cabinetry
- Experience working with laminate, solid timber, veneer, and melamine materials is required
- Excellent organisational and communication skills – positive 'can-do attitude'
