Machine Operator (Northgate)

Queensland Sheet Metal is a sheet metal manufacturing company that produces roofing and rainwater goods. The company is looking for full time machine operators to work in the Rollforming Department and working with the rainwater operators in the warehouse also Flashing off siders.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Excellent work ethic with attention to detail
- Reliable and with positive communication
- Forklift licence
- Experience with (including gutter machines, slitting lines, sheet metal machines) or Flashing machines an advantage The machine operator will work Monday to Friday, from 2.00pm
- 10.15pm. The role involves working both as a solo operator or in a small team at various times. A multifaceted position the role includes:

- Receipting orders (paperwork)
- Programming the machines computer to produce necessary products
- Time managing jobs to produce efficiencies in producing products
- Checking work/recognising colours and lengths
- Shifting coils via forklift to machine or by overhead crane

**Salary**: $26.92
- $32.42 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
