- Position: Discovery Guide (Tour Guide)
- Type: Casual, two positions, no guaranteed hours.
- Location: Hill End Historic Site, Office – Hill End.
- Salary: $41.47 to $45.08 per hour, commensurate with experience. About the role National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting prospect for a Discovery Guide (casual) to join the team at Hill End Historic Site, delivering interactive programs that connect people with the unique natural and cultural heritage of New South Wales. As a Discovery Guide, you will deliver engaging education and leisure experiences across the Hill End Historic Site, fostering awareness, appreciation and understanding of our heritage and environment for a diverse audience that includes school, tourist groups and independent visitors. Programs will be delivered on weekdays, weekends and during school holidays. You will play a key role in bringing Hill End’s history and stories to life, ensuring visitors enjoy meaningful, safe and memorable experiences at the site. About you You are a confident and engaging communicator who enjoys working with diverse audiences. You can think on your feet and adapt programs to suit different age groups, interests and learning styles. You are comfortable working independently when required and understand the importance of prioritising safety and meeting Work Health and Safety requirements at all times. Your experience in tour guiding, teaching, education, interpretation or visitor engagement will be highly regarded, along with your demonstrated passion for Australian history, the Australian environment, and alignment with NPWS values.
