Package range: $111,798
- $132,585. Package includes salary ($98,499-$116,813 per annum paid pro‑rata), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Salary offered will be based on experience.

About the role

We’re seeking world‑class educators to inspire the next generation of Automotive Light Vehicle students. Opportunities are available at Bathurst Campus, and there may also be opportunities to work across other campus locations such as Cowra, Forbes, Mudgee and Orange Campuses.

Essential Requirements

Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications with a minimum level of Certificate III in Automotive Light Vehicle or equivalent.

Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training (see the candidate support document) or a willingness to undertake our full‑time 14‑week Paid to Learn course.

Minimum of three (3) years post‑qualification experience relevant to your industry, gained no longer than five (5) years previously.

Paid to Learn : for candidates who do not hold an appropriate VET teaching qualification or equivalent, they have the option to be paid to learn as they transition from industry to teaching with guaranteed work following successful completion of the 14‑week Training and Assessment course. Those who already hold the appropriate teaching qualification or equivalent are still eligible to apply.

Additional Notes : Applicants for part‑time positions should note that participation in the 14‑week PTL program requires full‑time attendance of 35 hours per week throughout the 14‑week program.

Eligibility and Compliance

To be eligible for positions at TAFE NSW, you need to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia or a Recent Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.

This is a child‑related position. A Working with Children Check is a prerequisite for anyone in child‑related work. It involves a national criminal history check and review of findings of workplace misconduct.
