About the Role Reporting to the Store Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily operations — Supporting the Store Manager in running the bakery café to meet financial, service, quality, and safety targets.
- Team leadership — Guiding and motivating Store Supervisors, Bakers, Chefs and front-of-house team members through busy shifts.
- Rostering and coordination — Assisting with labour planning, scheduling, task allocation and shift coverage.
- Stock and supply management — Coordinating ordering of stock, equipment and materials to ensure smooth production and service.
- WHS and food safety — Maintaining compliance with Work Health and Safety standards and food safety requirements, and escalating any incidents or concerns.
- Continuous improvement — Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, team performance and the customer experience. About You You're an organised, confident hospitality leader who leads from the front and genuinely cares about food, people and doing things well. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a café, bakery, restaurant or similar fast-paced food environment.
- The ability to coach, motivate and hold a team accountable — without micromanaging.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities during a busy service and still keep your cool.
- A commitment to setting the standard for how every customer is treated.
- Food Safety / Food Handling Certificate (preferred but not essential).
