**What you'll be doing**

The primary purpose of this position is to provide medical care and support, as part of a multidisciplinary team that is consistent with the level of clinical competency and experience of the appointed Trainee.

Medical Officers will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients of all ages presenting in any condition.

Bathurst Hospital is a 120-bed hospital and has a busy Emergency Department, Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation, Maternity and Paediatric wards and Intensive Care Unit. There is a main Operating Suite and a Day Surgery Unit. Daffodil Cottage is an on-site outpatient Oncology Unit and there is also a Renal Dialysis Unit. The Ambulatory Care Unit offers both outpatient and hospital in the home services. Panorama Clinic is the on-site inpatient Mental Health Unit.
