Baker (Bathurst)

Bakers Delight Bathurst seeks to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Baker on a full time basis. The position attracts a remuneration package of $77,000 to $85,000 per annum, plus statutory superannuation, commensurate with skills and experience. Key duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce quality bakery products according to BD recipes and standards.
- Weigh, measure and mix flour and other ingredients to prepare dough and pastry fillings.
- Operate bakery machinery and equipment to form, load, bake, unload, de pan and cool batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times and product appearance to ensure consistent quality.
- Shape, glaze and finish bakery items, including buns, pastries and cakes, using icings, glazes, buttercream and approved toppings.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required standards of quality, freshness and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of bakery premises, tools and equipment in accordance with food safety and WHS requirements. Selection Criteria for this role:
- At least 12 months of relevant experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery environment.
- Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification or practical experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of dough preparation, proofing and baking processes, including the use of commercial bakery equipment.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, early morning team workplace with effective time management and communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail with a strong focus on product quality and consistency.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements. Salary
