Diabetes Educator (Bathurst)

**Patient Education & Support**: Teach Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes management, including insulin injection techniques, carbohydrate counting, and blood glucose monitoring.
- **Clinical Management**: Provide personalised care, such as insulin initiation and titration, under clinical guidance.
- **Lifestyle & Behavior Modification**: Offer guidance on diet, exercise, and psychosocial strategies for coping with diabetes.
- **Comprehensive Assessment**: Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of patient self-management skills and treatment effectiveness.
- **Preventive Care Planning**: Educate on preventing complications (e.g., foot care, hypoglycemia management) and develop sick day management plans.
- **Interdisciplinary Collaboration**: Work within a team of doctors, dietitians, and specialists to provide holistic care.
- **Technology Training**: Instruct patients on using devices like continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) and insulin pumps.
- **Advocacy & Support**: Assist patients with accessing resources, including the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS).
