Seeking Experienced Office Manager Telemon Thoroughbreds 100 Oaky Creek Road, Innisplain QLD 4285 Full-time Salary: $78,000 – $82,000 per annum plus superannuation, commensurate with experience About Telemon Thoroughbreds Telemon Thoroughbreds is a well-established thoroughbred breeding and racing operation based in Innisplain, Queensland. The business operates in a practical, hands‑on rural environment and manages a range of activities across breeding, agistment, horse care, farm operations, racing‑related administration, supplier coordination and client support. The nature of the business requires strong office systems and reliable administrative coordination. Daily operations involve staff communication, service records, supplier and contractor liaison, client enquiries, scheduling, documentation, compliance administration and management support. As the business continues to operate across both farm‑based and office‑based functions, Telemon Thoroughbreds is seeking an organised and capable Office Manager to support the smooth running of its internal administration and office operations. About the Role We are seeking a full‑time Office Manager to manage and coordinate the business’s office administration, records, internal procedures and administrative workflow. This role is suited to someone who is organised, practical and confident working in a busy operational business. The successful applicant will support management by keeping office processes structured, records up to date, communication clear, and administrative tasks properly coordinated across the business. This is not a purely desk‑based corporate role. The successful applicant will be working in a rural thoroughbred environment where office administration supports real‑time farm, breeding, staffing and client service operations. Key Responsibilities
- Managing and coordinating day‑to‑day office administration and internal administrative workflow
- Maintaining accurate business records, correspondence, staff records, supplier records and operational documents
- Developing, maintaining and improving office procedures, templates, filing systems and administrative processes
- Coordinating communication between management, staff, suppliers, contractors, clients and external service providers
- Supporting management with scheduling, follow‑up actions, reports, document control and general business administration
- Coordinating office resources, supplies, equipment, service providers and administrative requirements
- Assisting with staff administration, including onboarding documents, leave records, roster‑related records and internal communications
- Supporting accounts and payroll administration by preparing, organising and maintaining relevant records for management or external advisers
- Assisting with compliance‑related administration, including workplace records, procedural documents and operational registers
- Preparing basic reports, spreadsheets and administrative documents to support business planning and decision‑making
- Monitoring office systems and identifying practical improvements to improve efficiency, accuracy and communication
- Responding to internal and external enquiries and ensuring matters are followed up appropriately Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in office administration, office coordination, business administration or a similar role
- Strong organisational and record‑keeping skills
- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and general business systems
- Ability to work with management, staff, clients, suppliers and external service providers
- Practical problem‑solving ability and strong attention to detail
- A reliable, professional and hands‑on approach
- Ability to work independently while supporting broader business operations Experience in agriculture, equine, racing, rural business, farming, hospitality, government administration, customer service or another operational environment will be highly regarded. Qualifications Relevant qualifications or studies in business, administration, management, accounting, human resources or a related field will be highly regarded.
