- Eastwood SA ACM Healthcare is working on behalf of a Federal Government Department to source an experienced Mental Health Professional for a Clinician role, providing Counselling services to veterans. This is a long term contract at an APS6 level. Full time, 37.5 hours a week position; however part‑time applicants will be considered. The role will be based primarily in the Eastwood office, with the possibility of working from the Elizabeth or a satellite office. Duties:
- Facilitating the delivery of counselling and other programs to veterans, ADF personnel and their families.
- Delivering high‑quality clinical services such as risk assessment, case management, and evidence‑based counselling (individual, couple, and family).
- Reviewing client progress, adjusting care plans as needed, and extending episodes of care where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records, including assessments, care plans, and session notes.
- Participating in clinical supervision and ongoing career development to maintain registration and best practice.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and senior staff to review and manage complex cases.
- Liaising with family members, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support.
- Contributing to group programmes, psycho‑education, community engagement, and service promotion activities.
- Supporting quality improvement, evaluation, and research initiatives, providing feedback to enhance clinical practice and procedures. Mandatory Requirements:
- Qualifications as a registered Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Registered Nurse with full AHPRA registration, OR
- Qualification as a Social Worker with membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) on commencement OR
- A Masters‑level counselling qualification and registration with PACFA as a Registered Clinical Counsellor, or with ACA at Level 3 or Level 4.
- Working with Children (WWC) and/or Vulnerable People Checks/Clearance must be obtained prior to commencement.
- As this role is within a Federal Government department, Australian citizenship is required at the time of commencement.
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) and the ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance by completing a Pre‑commencement Security Check (PCSC). #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjobau.com/job/3qefm4
