About the Role The Report & Image Access Consultant (RIAC) plays a vital role in connecting patients, referrers and other stakeholders with the information they need. This is primarily a phone-based role, so strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional phone manner are essential. You will act as the first point of contact for inbound phone and email requests relating to medical images and reports, ensuring enquiries are handled with professionalism, empathy and efficiency. This role is offered at 3-5 days per week, which will be discussed with suitable applicants. As a valued member of our Team, you will join a supportive environment where your contribution directly impacts patient care and referrer experience. In this role, you will:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, referrers and third parties.
- Build robust, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Respond to medical record enquiries via phone and email with accuracy and care.Manage and release patient records in a timely, confidential and compliant manner. About You
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to confidently multitask across multiple systems and software platforms.
- A proactive work ethic, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of medical imaging terminology (desirable but not essential).
