OUR COMPANY: Sprintjett is a leading Australian manufacturer and retailer of high-pressure water jetters and pressure cleaners. Locally owned and operated, we are recognised throughout the industry for the design, fabrication, and quality of our Sprintjett machines. In addition to our manufacturing division, we operate a fully equipped mechanical workshop providing repairs and servicing for pressure cleaning equipment, along with an onsite retail store supplying products, parts, and accessories to our customers. With a strong reputation built on quality workmanship, reliability, and customer service, Sprintjett continues to support a wide range of commercial and industrial clients across Australia. OUR FACILITY: Our near-new workshops and retail store are based in Stapylton (Yatala), Queensland, conveniently located just off the M1 Motorway. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, reliable, and motivated Trade Counter Sales / Customer Service professional to join the Sprintjett team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a trade and retail environment. You will be the first point of contact for customers both in-store and over the phone, assisting with product enquiries, sales, parts identification, and general customer support. Tasks & Responsibilities In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day trade counter operations, including:
- Processing over-the-counter and telephone sales transactions
- Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Providing exceptional customer service via trade counter, telephone, and email enquiries
- Assisting customers with product advice and solutions
- Handling customer queries in a professional and timely manner
- Liaising regularly with suppliers and dealers
- Coordinating with workshop and team members regarding jobs, parts, and customer enquiries
- Preparing invoices and quotations, checking pricing, processing emails, and entering product data
- Booking service jobs and managing the daily workshop schedule/diary
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day front counter operations
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the showroom and store displays
- Assembling items and parts for customer orders and display purposes
- Picking and preparing orders accurately
- Assisting other team members as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Demonstrating the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following:
- Previous experience in retail/trade sales and customer service
- A passion for helping customers both in person and over the phone
- A confident, friendly, and professional attitude and appearance
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the industry
- The ability to work well within a team environment
- Strong organisational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Good computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and internal documentation
- The ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Experience picking orders, maintaining store displays, and providing accurate information to customers
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks, including lifting boxes and handling goods Previous customer service experience is highly regarded. This Position Offers
- Full time position (Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm)
- No weekend work
- Air conditioned smoko-lunch room onsite for staff
