Community Transport Drivers
- Multiple Roles Available (BRIS)

We’re looking for caring, reliable, and protected drivers to join a not-for-profit community transport service helping people get where they need to go. No prior driving industry experience is required
- full training is provided and paid.

About the Role

Drive sedans, commuter vans, or buses (depending on licence) to transport clients door-to-door

Provide protected, reliable, and respectful service for people in the community, including those with disabilities or mobility challenges

Use provided devices to receive trip allocations and communicate with dispatch

Assist clients as needed during pick-up and drop-off

Complete daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness

Paid training (up to 4 weeks) with progressive pay increases as skills are signed off

Hourly rates from $32.63 casual (Grade 1) to $40.21 casual (Grade 6)

What You’ll Need

Open C Class licence or above (LR/HR for larger vehicles)

Willingness to obtain an Industry Authority, Blue Card, Yellow Card, and National Police Check (we help you with this)

The ability to pass a basic medical

Confident with smartphones/tablets and following GPS

Strong people skills, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different client needs

Minimum availability: three 9-hour shifts per week during training

40+ years of age (or younger but calm, mature, and empathetic)

Comfortable following dispatch instructions and adapting to changing schedules
