Construction Estimator (Yatala)

About the role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. As a Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects e.g. (Government & Strata) , providing accurate and reliable cost estimates to support our growth and expansion. This full-time role is based in our Yatala, Queensland office. What you'll bring
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and analyse relevant data to create comprehensive estimates
- Identify potential cost savings and opportunities for optimisation within the estimating process
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals, providing expert advice and support
- Maintain a comprehensive database of historical cost data, industry benchmarks, and pricing information
- Mentor and train junior estimating staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction estimating What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Estimator in the construction industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Thorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry best practices
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
- Proven track record of delivering accurate and reliable cost estimates that support project success
