**How you will contribute to our mission in getting Australia to space**: The below is designed to give you an idea of the role you will play. There will be many more exciting and innovative things to do.
- Process accounts payable transactions and other related tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, ensuring accurate records and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Verify that all transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, coded appropriately, and match with corresponding purchase orders.
- Confirm receipt of goods or services as part of the invoice approval process to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process, including assistance with credit card transactions.
- Input data and maintain accurate records, supporting reconciliation of banking and other accounting-related transactions.
- Collaborate and maintain positive relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and other departments.
- Provide additional support as required by management for various accounting, administrative tasks and Finance Projects.

**Mandatory Qual**ifications, Skills and Experience**:

- At least 3 years proven experience in managing an account's payable function
- Robust understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principals
- Solid understanding of Xero accounting system advantageous.
- ApprovalMax desirable but not essential.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- National Police Check essential.

**Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Experience in pursuing employees and suppliers for documentation to substantiate expenditures paid
- The ability to work independently and part of teams.
- The ability to meet deadlines
