Our main service lines include diesel engines, crushing equipment and wear products, cooling and heat transfer components, wheel groups and parts for haul trucks, excavators and support equipment.**The Opportunity**
- We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist responsible for driving the execution of the Category Strategy and managing contracts for logistics suppliers, with the primary objective of strengthening logistics operations for the Australian business.**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Strengthen international and domestic freight operations, ensuring seamless advice and support for the Australian divisions.
- Lead a team of Logistics Officers, organizing the coordination of a complex network of international and domestic freight movements. This includes fostering collaboration with HEPI stakeholders, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and consignees.
- Implement management strategies to ensure the smooth flow of logistics operations, contributing to the overall success of the Australian business.
- Supervise and orchestrate import and export shipments with a keen focus on key customers and HEPI Australian business units.
- Generate essential documentation for shipments and seamlessly process them within the ERP system, ensuring efficiency and accuracy throughout the workflow.
**About You**
- To be considered for this position you will ideally have:
- Experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Knowledgable in import/export, freight forwarding and customs practices.
- Solid analytical abilities to effectively analyze data and make informed decisions, reducing costs, and driving operational improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management.
