Warehouse Team Leader (Yatala)

We are currently recruiting for a **Warehouse Team Leader,** working for a Global company and based at their Yatala site. The company, is a well established & secure business providing goods to various business such as automotive and print industries.

**The role**

The role is a full time, permanent, position, where you will lead a small team of 3-4 people, in the warehouse. Part of your role will be managing customers who wish to collect thier products from the warehouse, coupled with arranging transport for order dispatch and delivery. This is a hands on role, with manual paper picking systems, however you will use the SAP System as and when required.

As the Warehouse Team Leader your role will include:

- Oversee the daily warehousing activities and pick teaM/Fork lift truck drivers
- Ensure all orders are prepared and wrapped in line with requirements
- Managing workloads and ensure goods incoming and outgoing are processed efficiently and on time
- Motivate and lead a team of dedicated and friendly warehouse staff to ensure KPI's are met
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the warehouse functions
- Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to customers collecting thier goods directly from the warehouse
- Ensure compliance to OHS procedures and ensure manual heavy lifting is completed in line with OHS requirements
- Stock checks, managing damaged stock and receipting of goods
- Prepare products for dispatch and receipt incoming and outgoing goods
- Deal with inter company transfers
- Updating the inhouse computer system

**Applicant requirements**

We are looking for someone with the following:

- Someone with previous supervisory experience is essential, someone who leads from the front
- A good mentor and coach to your team
- A proven track record working in a warehouse with 2ic / supervisory skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A valid Fork Lift Truck License & proven track record of safe handling
- Ability to complete heavy / manual lifting in line with safety standards
- up to 25kg
- A team player someone who gets on with their colleagues and leads by example
- Computer literate
- Experience using SAP, or another warehouse system would be highly advantageous
