Financial Controller (Yatala)

A family-owned construction manufacturing business in South Brisbane is growing rapidly and relocating to a brand-new Swanbank facility, creating the need for its first Financial Controller. Supplying bespoke products into major construction projects across Brisbane and Sydney, the business is turning over $70M–$100M and investing heavily in automation, systems and growth. Reporting directly to the MD and working closely with the QLD GM, you will take ownership of cashflow, WIP, debtor management, progress claims and commercial reporting across both entities. - $ 180k plus super (dependent on experience) Responsibilities
- Own cash flow, debtors and collections across both entities
- Manage guarantees, retentions and invoicing with accuracy
- Oversee WIP, project costing and margin performance daily
- Build reporting on units, cube costs and freight performance
- Lead and improve the Sydney finance support team structure
- Produce reports that leadership can genuinely run the business on
- Use MYOB and Excel to analyse, build & consolidate financial data
- Manage progress claims and support delivery teams throughout
- Contribute to ERP planning and future systems implementation
- Report directly to leadership on business performance daily About You

- Background in FC, Snr Management or Management Accounting
- Manufacturing, civil or project-based finance environment
- Strong cashflow, debtor control and collections experience\
- WIP and progress claims exposure across bespoke projects
- Advanced Excel skills across reporting, modelling and analysis
- MYOB or similar accounting systems experience preferred
- Able to manage two entities and remote finance coordination
- Open to ambitious Senior Accountants ready for a true step up
