**About our Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Despatch Manager** to lead our outbound logistics operations at Stapylton, QLD. You’ll be responsible for a fleet of 6 trucks and a dedicated team of 6 drivers and 4 floor staff (all full-time), ensuring the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of our glass products to customers across multiple regions.

This is a critical role for our operations, requiring someone who leads from the front double-checking orders and guiding the team with loading trucks. You’ll work closely with the Production Manager and customers, proactively resolving delivery issues and providing clear, timely updates.

You will lead and support a skilled workforce in day-to-day operations, including daily picking, despatch, and bulk customised freight management.

In addition, you’ll:

- ensure compliance and continual improvement in all aspects of safety
- maintain a strong customer focus constantly striving to achieve 100% delivery in full on time
- drive the LEAN and continuous improvements methodology
- improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and mentoring
- drive training initiatives and processes to develop staff and key personnel
- lead root cause identification and elimination of causes of efficiency and waste issues and causes of lost productivity.

**About You**

We’re searching for someone who has a background in leading a despatch team preferably in the building material manufacturing industry (Glass, Steel or Aluminum) or with bulk customized freight. We’re looking for a people leader who has a flexible leadership style and hands on approach, who can maintain high level of employee engagement with the ability to adapt their communication style to the needs of their diverse team and customers.

In addition:

- working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
- hold a current unrestricted driver’s license.
- experience with Lisec and Mex software
