Retail / Trade Counter Sales & Customer Service (Grovedale)

Our Business: Flintstones Building & Garden Supplies is a division of Barro Group which specialises in reinforcement mesh/bar, concreting tools, landscaping products, raw materials (sand, mulch, soil etc) and accessories. We pride ourselves on excellent service and customer satisfaction. Barro Group is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1946. We manufacture and distribute construction materials and operate 50+ sites throughout VIC & QLD. The team includes approximately 70 people, working across 9 branches. We currently are looking for drivers to join our team on a full-time basis. We value safety, reliability & teamwork. The Role: In this front-of-house role, you’ll be the first point of contact for both retail customers and trade professionals. Your day will include:
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to both trade and retail customers at the sales counter and over the phone.
- Process sales orders, quotes, and payments accurately through the POS and ERP system.
- Ensure customers receive timely assistance with enquiries, stock availability, delivery options, and order follow-ups.
- Assist trade account orders.
- Prepare and process invoices, pick-slips, and delivery notes.
- Liaise with the site team to ensure accurate picking, loading, and delivery of customer orders.
- Gain / maintain product knowledge across building & landscaping supplies. Our expectation of your experience:
- Experience in retail, trade sales, customer service or a similar role.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Computer and POS skills.
- A willingness to learn product knowledge.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
