- Full-Time, Fixed Term position up to 12 months from commencement
- Classification: Level A
- Base salary from $84,205 + 17% superannuation
- Min. step 6 of Level A for a PhD holder About the position The project focuses on developing thermal insulation panels from recycled photovoltaic (PV) waste. The aim of the project is to develop a commercially viable pathway for high-value electronic waste recycling. The successful candidate will work closely with an international team from La Trobe University, the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, and Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India. Skills and Experience
- Conferred PhD in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in finite element analysis (Abaqus or similar software).
- Background in structural analysis and recycled construction materials.
- Experience in experimental testing and material characterisation
- Proven ability to publish high-quality peer-reviewed Q1 journals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international research environment.
- Demonstrated experience in following safety procedures in the civil engineering laboratory and maintaining civil engineering laboratory in secure conditions.
- At least five journal articles published in Q1 journals during or after the PhD. This position is open to International/overseas applicants that obtain or hold a valid working Australian visa and can relocate to Bendigo at their own expense. La Trobe Uni will not cover the costs of visa assistance or relocation assistance for this position.
