Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Research Quality Managers to join the Research Development and Governance Unit.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The Research Quality Manager oversees the research quality management framework at Northern Health to ensure patient safety in clinical trials and clinical research, and quality study execution in accordance with applicable prevailing regulations, GCP and Northern Health standards and procedures. This role works across Northern Health's research areas providing advice on safety, quality and compliance related issues. The Research Quality Manager leads the provision of advice and support to research teams, the resolution of complex issues relating to safely and quality, and works with stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement within Northern Health's rapidly growing clinical trial and clinical research programs.
This is an ongoing full time position with monthly Accrued Days Off (ADOs)
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience in clinical trials, clinical research, and research regulation
- Demonstrated understanding of key regulatory and operational elements of clinical trials and clinical research
- Sound experience in comprehending, interpreting and applying policies, procedures, and human research guidelines and legislation
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work both independently with minimal direction and within teams towards group goals
- Sound experience in research management and/or human research ethics and governance
- Prior experience in continuous improvement
