Kogan People Solutions are working with a major NFP/ local Government entity in Central Victoria who are seeking to appoint a skilled experienced Aquatics Officer, for facilities including a location in Daylesford, Vic. This role is responsible for ensuring the Aquatics Facilities are maintained to a safe and positive working order both during seasonal and non-seasonal times. It involves undertaking a range of administrative and customer-focused activities that ensure patrons accessing Aquatics services have a positive and safe experience either as an individual, group, or broader program. Location – Daylesford Vic Salary
- $80k to $90k plus superannuation per annum Tenure – full time, ongoing, availability through the working week Key Responsibilities Aquatics Plant Operations: Oversee seasonal and non-seasonal facility maintenance (including plant operations, water testing, chemical supply, and contractor liaison) in strict alignment with Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSSA) guidelines. Leadership Culture: Recruit, train, roster, and mentor the aquatics team. Manage performance and collaborate across Council departments to achieve shared recreational goals. Administration Finance: Manage day-to-day administration, accurate record-keeping, staff timesheets, budget oversight, invoicing, and performance reporting. Compliance Safety: Maintain absolute compliance with the Victorian Occupational Health Safety Act **** , OHS Regulations **** , and the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act **** (Child Safe Standards). Fully participate in corporate training and emergency management responses as directed. Core Requirements Qualifications Technical Certifications: Current RLSSA Pool Lifeguard Certificate, Aquatics Technical Operator Certificate (Pool Plant), and Level 2 First Aid. Experience: Proven background in aquatics operations, plant management, and OHS protocols, ideally within a local government or similar environment. Capabilities: Strong financial acumen (budgeting/invoicing), robust problem-solving skills, and the communication skills required to lead a team and engage effectively with the public. Screening: Valid Australian Driver's Licence, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and a satisfactory National Criminal History Check. Key Selection Criteria Operations Expertise: Demonstrated experience in aquatics operations, plant maintenance, and strict OHS compliance. Program Delivery: Proven ability to implement and deliver successful community recreation and aquatics initiatives. Leadership HR: Solid understanding of staff supervision, workplace safety management, and team leadership. Business Administration: Well-developed administrative capability, including managing accounts, rosters, and budgets. Self-Management: Exceptional time-management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
