Position Financial Accountant – Dandenong, Hybrid work, 4‑month temp contract (potential extensions), Pay 62$ per hour + super. About the Role Our client, a government‑owned organisation in Dandenong, urgently seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. The role focuses on reviewing and improving balance sheet reconciliation processes, documenting data flows, and ensuring compliance with institutional policies and Australian Accounting Standards. Key Responsibilities
- Review and overhaul existing balance sheet reconciliation processes to ensure best‑practice standards.
- Perform deep‑dive analysis into complex data flows, documenting movement of data from source systems to the ledger.
- Collaborate with the broader Financial Services team on ad‑hoc reporting tasks and year‑end preparations.
- Ensure all financial data is compliant with institutional policies and Australian Accounting Standards. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and Finance, or CA/CPA qualification.
- Strong experience and knowledge around balance sheet reconciliations processes.
- Strong knowledge in financial accounting and reporting.
- Background in the TAFE/Higher Education sector considered highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards. Benefits
