Primary Objective The Transport & Logistics Coordinator supports the delivery of finished goods by planning and coordinating transport schedules, managing driver rosters, and ensuring compliance with safety and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) regulations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely and cost‑effective distribution of products, supporting fleet utilisation, and acting as a central communication point between despatch, drivers, third‑party carriers, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule transport activities to meet customer delivery windows and business requirements.
- Manage daily and weekly driver rosters, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with fatigue and CoR obligations.
- Monitor and record driver hours, breaks, and route compliance using GPS and logbook data.
- Liaise with despatch, customer service, and planning teams to coordinate delivery priorities.
- Support the Transport Manager with managing fleet utilisation and cost efficiency.
- Communicate run sheets, changes, and job details to drivers in a timely and clear manner.
- Maintain transport documentation including manifests, load plans, delivery receipts, and contractor records.
- Address and elevate delivery issues such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or customer complaints.
- Assist with reviewing and optimising delivery routes and run efficiencies.
- Support the onboarding and training of current drivers or contractors.
- Contribute to audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives in transport operations.
- Ensure safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are upheld across all transport activities.
