Position Description

**Join Our Team as an Accounts Payable Officer**

Are you passionate about finance and enjoy accounts payable? Are you looking for versatile working conditions that allow you to work during school hours?

**About the role**: The Accounts Payable role administers the Accounts Payable function for the Council, including preparation of twice monthly creditors’ payments and associated functions. This role also assists with preparation of internal and external financial reports, end of year / month reporting along with ongoing continuous improvement.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to draw on your previous experience within a finance field and work within a current corporate system within a small rural council.

This is a part time role and is based in our Wedderburn office

**About you**:

- ability to professionally assist customers and clients.
- proven understanding of accounting practices.
- experience using computer software programs including creditor payments system.
- ability to undertake processes in a timely and accurate manner.
- ability to prioritise, manage and meet deadlines.
