Senior Associate Family Lawyer (Gold Coast)

Leadership opportunity spearheading a Family Law Division within an established firm! About the chance This longstanding firm with well established roots at the Gold Coast operates across a number of practice areas, and is ready to welcome an experienced Senior Family Lawyer who would like to take hold of this opportunity and run with it! With plenty of Family Law work coming in the door, this firm is looking for a dedicated Family Lawyer to take the lead and provide support and mentoring to more junior lawyers, together with managing files. What you'll be doing
- Advising clients on complex family law matters, including divorce, child custody, property settlements, and spousal maintenance
- Drafting and negotiating legal documents such as consent orders, financial agreements, and parenting plans
- Representing clients in court proceedings and mediation sessions
- Maintaining a high level of client communication and ensuring exceptional client service
- Contributing to the ongoing development and implementation of the firm's family law practice What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in a family law practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of family law legislation, case law, and court procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal information in a clear and concise manner
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in and either previous experience leading a team, or readiness to take this step up
