Civil Engineer (Gold Coast)

About the Role Join Applus+ Renewable Energy Services as a Site Civil Engineer, supporting major renewable energy projects across Australia. Based on the Fraser Coast at a Solar Farm Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), this role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge infrastructure in solar, wind, and energy storage. You will play a key role in supervising site‑based civil construction activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Reporting to the Construction Manager / Site Manager and will work closely with EPC contractors, subcontractors, HSE personnel, QA/QC teams, surveyors, and engineering teams. Principle Duties

- Supervise all civil construction activities on site
- Ensure compliance with project schedules and approved programs
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with IFC drawings, technical specifications, approved methodologies, and project standards.
- Coordinate civil, electrical, and commissioning activities
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers
- Review ITPs and ensure compliance
- Conduct inspections, audits, and quality checks
- Raise and manage NCRs
- Identify construction risks, delays, and interface issues proactively.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide daily reporting Required Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in civil construction supervision.
- Bachelor of Engineering
- Experience in utility‑scale solar farm and/or BESS projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, road construction, concrete works, civil QA/QC processes
- Knowledge of Australian construction standards and WHS regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- White Card (mandatory).
- Current driver’s licence. Desirable

- Previous experience in renewable energy projects in Queensland.
- Experience working on remote construction sites.
- First Aid qualification.
- Environmental awareness in large infrastructure projects.
