- Teach and work alongside a team of talented engineers by developing complex power, electrical and control systems.
- Serve as a Responsible Engineer for Electrical products, conducting technical assessments such as concept studies, trade studies, and COTS solution analyses.
- Ability to fulfill the role of Technical Authority on behalf of the Chief Engineer, as requested.
- Lead small product teams on a quarterly basis and contribute to the development of software engineering designs, processes, and activities.
- Follow and participate in product development processes, including requirements definition, design, verification, and validation.
- Support unit and integration testing, operational troubleshooting, and issue resolution, with potential travel to remote sites.
- Supporting architecture development, technology strategy and execution of the Electrical team
- Engage in Research and Development initiatives and support electrical engineering production activities for Launch Vehicle and Satellite product lines.
- Supervise and authorise a range of complex test activities to required policies and standards.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Propulsion, Manufacturing, and Production teams, as well as external suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all engineering activities adhere to company policies, plans, and procedures and fulfill other duties as requested by management. Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- NER / RPEQ / CPEng or ability to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of demonstrated expertise with the design, analysis, development, test and operation of Electrical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience designing complex electrical wiring interconnect systems
- Working knowledge of standards such as SMC‑S‑020, WHMA‑620D, or AS50881H
- Proficiency with CAD (NX or similar)
- Experience managing projects including schedule and work package management
- NV1 Security Clearance eligible.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment, demonstrating resilience in high‑stress situations and a supportive approach with team members. Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Experience designing products for high criticality applications such as aerospace, automotive, defence, medical, mining, or transport
- Advanced manufacturing experience
- Conformance to standards testing experience
- Well‑developed communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage work demands and deliver outcomes
- Systems Engineering process knowledge and experience
