Marland Mushrooms is a leading, large-scale mushroom facility, producing high-quality mushrooms for markets across the region.The Production Department is a critical function of our business, responsible for the cleaning, filling and emptying of growing rooms to support strong yields, quality outcomes and cost-effective operations.About the RoleThis is an ongoing, practical and physically active supervisory role where you will lead by example. You'll coordinate and participate in the emptying and cleaning of production rooms following crop cycles, ensuring all areas are cleaned, sanitised, and ready for the next stage of production.You will work closely with the Production Manager while supporting and guiding your team to meet daily schedules and maintain strong WHS, hygiene, and food safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead a team of 6–8 employees during early morning emptying and cleaning operationsAllocate daily tasks and manage team workflows to meet production timelinesWork hands-on alongside the team in emptying and deep cleaning activitiesOversee cleaning and sanitation of production rooms, floors, walls, drains, and equipmentEnsure cleaning procedures are followed correctly and safelyEnforce PPE use and secure chemical handling practicesTrain, support, and coach team members in SOPs and safe work practicesMonitor work quality, attendance, and performance, addressing issues promptlyMaintain cleaning records and support audits and inspectionsAbout YouWilling and able to work early morning starts (3am–5am)Background in industrial, agricultural, or production environmentsProven experience supervising or leading teams of similar sizeComfortable in a hands-on, physical roleStrong focus on safety, hygiene, and qualityReliable, organised, and confident managing peopleNo mushroom production experience required — training providedPlease apply with your resume and cover letter.Unlock job insightsHirer responsiveness Salary match Number of applicantsApplication questionsAre you available to work split shifts?
