About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a result driven, team focused Head of Department of Design to lead the Industrial Design Technology and Home Economics/Hospitality teams at Helensvale State High School.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following activities: Lead the curriculum focus and school department in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Engage in lifelong learning and career development. Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups. Be future-oriented and strategic. Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
