We are assisting our client, a well-established company, in their search for a **Procurement Manager** to join their growing team on the Northern Gold Coast.

Our client is seeking a motivated **Procurement Manager** who can lead their purchasing and procurement strategies, with a particular focus initially on process improvement. **About the Role**: As the **Procurement Manager**, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement & Purchasing for the business, focusing initially on implementing and streamlining processes and managing a small team of 2 direct reports, with 2 indirect. You will work closely with internal stakeholders & category managers to ensure that procurement activities are efficient, cost-effective, and align with business objectives. You will also play a key role in managing inbound freight and sourcing materials from both domestic and international suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee procurement strategy, including managing the inbound purchasing of materials and product components.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Manage a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations and process adherence.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory management, and timely procurement cycles.
- Monitor supplier performance, business
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and system progress.
- Ensure compliance
- Document and implement processes for a new ERP system
- Manage Procurement budget / spend

**Skills and Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, with a background in sourcing both nationally and internationally.
- Strong process orientation, with the ability to document, implement, and optimise procurement processes.
- Mechanically minded / Technical background would be highly regarded due to product range..
- Previous experience managing a team and mentoring staff to ensure performance excellence.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to develop relationships with suppliers.
- Proficiency with procurement software; experience with **Pronto** is highly desirable.
- It would be advantageous if you have been involved in an ERP system change / implementation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and cost management.

This is a full time, permanent role. Office based, not Hybrid with the expectation for international travel once per year. or sometimes every other for a trade show's.
