We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Operations Manager to join our team and play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the practice, along with assist in implementation and support of structured automated processes to improve the efficiency of our practice. About the Role As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing administrative operations, supporting the leadership team, and ensuring a high standard of practice efficiency. You will also be involved in our systems transformation project incorporating process automation and AI-enabled procedures. You would be responsible for monitoring and continually improving operational workflows and the firms Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This is an integral role suited to someone tech-driven and automation-minded with a drive for developing innovative digital ecosystems. Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administrative operations of the accounting practice
- Coordinate workflow and support accountants with job scheduling and lodgement deadlines
- Practice systems and process improvement
- Technology, AI integration and automation implementation to enhance team capabilities
- Assist with developing and implementing standard practices (SOP's) and creating consistency in service delivery including managing our tech stack.
- Oversee onboarding of new clients and maintain exceptional client service standards
- Support billing, debtor management, and reporting processes
- Operational support to leadership team
- Cross-team coordination, bridging admin, accountants and leadership. Skills & Experience
- Experience in practice management an advantage but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to improve internal systems and processes through automation
- Strong interest and connection with AI and process automation tools
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager, FYI Docs, or similar an advantage but not essential.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional presentation and client-focused approach
