We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior to Intermediate Accountant to join our Business Services & Tax team. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to continue developing their technical skills and progress their career within public practice. You will work closely with Senior Accountants and Managers while managing compliance work and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships
- Assist with BAS, IAS, and GST compliance
- Support senior team members with tax planning and business advisory work
- Liaise with clients to obtain financial information and respond to queries
- Assist with preparation of management reports and business performance analysis
- Maintain accurate client records and meet compliance deadlines
- Work collaboratively within the team to deliver high-quality client outcomes
- Continue developing technical accounting and taxation knowledge Skills & Experience
- 1–4 years’ experience in Australian public practice accounting
- Degree qualified and commenced or currently studying towards CA or CPA qualification
- Understanding of Australian taxation and accounting principles
- Experience using Xero, MYOB, or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn Desirable
- Experience with cloud accounting systems
- Exposure to business advisory services
